Now that Ms. Winfrey has retired from daytime TV she has a little more free time on her hands. On a recent trip to South Africa she stopped by her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls where she decided she would love to teach her students invaluable lessons from her mistakes.
According to popeater.com, the mogul says she will be returning in the fall to teach a class called 'It's Life 101'. The class will be about stuff she wished someone would've told her how the world really works.
"Should be fun since I love to teach and they're like sponges. Like 12th graders everywhere, this first class is both anxious and excited about going to college. Most will be the first in their family. So it's a very big deal for them, and they're feeling the pressure," said Oprah.
She goes onto mention what Chris Rock said to her on one of her last shows, "When Chris Rock was last on the show he said, 'real wealth is having options.' I thought that was pretty profound. I now stress to my girls that education prepares you to have options. Without it you have none.”
We're sure with Oprah as their teacher the young ladies will definitely be prepared to take on life's task that awaits them in the real world.
