Whether you are in school or working the 9 to 5, it has without a doubt been a long week. Although it's thankfully Friday, Monday always seems to sprint its way back into our lives quite quicker than we want! But wait no more! Below are a few ideas from Base Formula Essential Oils and Aromatherapy to maximize the relaxation you get during your weekend with simple recipes that you can concoct yourselves! Voilà !
Überchic chose a few recipes that sound ultra relaxing! Try em' out!
Start out with a stress relieving bath. These ingredients are items that you may have to use your "Super Shopper's Scope" to find, but it will be well worth the search!
Mix 1 cup of Dead Sea Salt with 1 tbsp of Epsom Salts and 1tbsp of Aloe Vera and Seaweed Gel. Add 3 drops of Green Mandarin essential oil (uplifting), 3 drops of Geranium (balancing) , 3 drops of May Chang (the oil of tranquility) and 2 tsps of honey (optional). Mix well and add to the bath as it runs!
Tip: If you cannot find all of these ingredients, don't be afraid to just add milk to your bath. It's a natural moisturizer!
Next, bring your complexion to life:
You can add a homemade toner with the following tasty ingredients: Sliced strawberries, grapes and cucumbers act as natural toners to tighten skin and shrink pores. Just rub the slices over your skin after cleansing.
Exfoliate to remove the invisible layer of dead cells that often gives your skin that dull, grey appearance. Make your own face and body scrub with 50% natural brown sugar and 50% oatmeal. Mix into a paste using Camellia Carrier Oil and apply to clean, dry skin in a circular motion using your fingers.
Finally, apply a nourishing facial masque:
While the skin is still warm blend Aloe Vera and Seaweed Gel with Rose and Frankincense essential oils (2 drops of each oil per tablespoonful of gel). Apply a thick layer to the face and extend down to the décolletage and the back of hands too if you wish. Rose and Frankincense have been valued for centuries for their restorative and balancing effect on the skin. Leave for 20 minutes then remove with warm water.
I feel refreshed already! Try out these recipes over the weekend and return Monday full of life and beautiful as ever!
