Lately I've been into clog style shoes and the whole chunky heel appeal it gives! So when I stumbled upon NINA Z I was so excited! Nina Ziefvert is a designer born and raised in Sweden. At the age of 18 she moved to pursue her studies and experience within fashion. After leaving Sweden she studied and worked within fashion in Paris, London, Stockholm, and New York. In 2008 she decided to launch her unique shoe line.
She utilized her work experience and childhood memories to create that distinctive look her collections embodies.
NINA Z describes the shoe line as re-introducing "the iconic 70s and 80s Swedish clog to the metropolitan market."
Each pair individually made in Sweden in natural materials by fifth generation shoemakers they are re-issued classics stapled together with a clean and newly intended rawness. To mark the US re-issue the colors, styles and heights are new but rest assured the quality and craftsmanship remain timeless.
In an interview with Every Clog Has Its Day Nina describes what she's most proud of:
"That I did it. That my own selfish urge for quality clogs far away from home transformed into a business filling the obvious void of high quality Swedish clogs on the US market."
