Only at the age of 23, Queens native, LaQuan Smith has found a HUGE name for himself within the fashion industry. He has had a love for fashion since he was young! At the age of 13 his grandma gave him her sewing machine to practice his designs on. However, in 2005 he faced a new challenge when he battled and overcame cancer! After his graduation he interned at a known magazine, Blackbook, but he still wanted more from fashion! So in 2008 he created his self-titled designer label "LaQuan Smith"!!
Since the brand's creation LaQuan's pieces can be seen on fashion/entertainer heavy hitters such as: Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Tyra Banks, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, and Lala Anthony to name a few!! His beautiful designs can also be seen within Vogue, Marie Claire, Essence, Seventeen, Uptown, Vibe, and Complex!!
He is DEFINITELY an artist to keep an eye on his designs are VERY unique and GORGEOUS! At such a young age we know he will be a fashion industry HEAVY HITTER!!!
