ABC 20/20 with Barbara Walters! Prior to this interview no direct visual of the twins were made public. Well we have the details and pictures of the babies for you to see below! The twins are absolutely gorgeous to say the least!!!
During the interview Mariah revealed her thoughts on marrying for a second time, miscarriage, and the pregnancy itself! She gave a world a glimpse into her marriage and family life for the first time since her children was born!
Before the couple wed in 2008, they were together for about 6 weeks when they decided to get married in the Bahamas. They kept there relationship very silent from the limelight until their marriage. This marriage was Mariah's second and Nick's first. Since their marriage the couple renew their vows every anniversary. This year their anniversary vows were renewed while Mariah was still in the hospital by Rev. Al Sharpton.
With both having a significant age difference, the twins are the couples first children. However, prior to this pregnancy, Mariah revealed she had a miscarriage. So when she found out about this pregnancy it was exciting but pretty scary. As she conceived through Invetro Fertilization the pregnancy was categorized as a high risk pregnancy.
However, with a second try at pregnancy the couple knew to be extra careful to make sure this term was successful. Throughout her pregnancy, Nick would often read to her belly and she would place a belly "i pod" on her stomach so the babies could listen to music. The couple embraced the pregnancy and interacted with their children as much as they could before the big delivery. Also talking about delivery, Mariah gave birth to them on the couples 3rd wedding anniversary!
While in the delivery room the couple interacted with the soon to be newborns as much as they could by playing Mariah's song "Fantasy" while giving birth! As the babies are surrounded by musical and entertainment talent, Mariah describes them as being very responsive to music. Although Nick stresses he wants the children to get their education first a preferably get a PhD He has expressed before he would like his children to live a normal life and not gear towards the entertainment industry. However, Mariah seems very open to the option of the children having an interest in music!
