The Young Money super star who coined the term ‘bestest’ has repeatedly been accused by haters of being the fakest. I cannot count how many times I’ve heard people say they want the “old Nicki” back...back when when she was hardcore with songs like "Warning," "I Get Crazy" and ”Itty Bitt Piggy.” Many of her long-time fans think Nicki sold out to the pop crowds and betrayed her rapping roots. Apparently, the rumors have gotten to Nicki too after she included “Dear Old Nicki“ on her debut album Pink Friday. So when I took a listen to her remix of of Big Seans “Dance (A$$)", I couldn’t help but be reminded of the old Nicksta!
Big Sean pulled onboard the biggest a$$ in the industry by allowing Nicki Minaj to murder this party track! Nicki literally takes ‘shots’ at her own derriere by addressing rumors of her backside being fake. In this song, Nicki takes us back to the “Old Nicki”: when most of her lyrics were off-the-dome hilarious, quite vulgar and,umm.. girly-friendly, shall we say. Regardless of the words that made you cringe a tad, she still went hard! Recently, she has been giving public something her “true” fans called a watered-down pop version of Nicki. But I think she has given those people exactly what they’ve asked for with her new verse on the popular track. You be the judge.
By the way, my favorite line included a remark related to Michael Kors. A tad ‘out there’ but hilarious nonetheless .
