Since Rihanna first hit the music scene she has always been proud to be from Barbados. Not only does she rep it now she's getting paid to rep it. She has decided to promote Barbados as a tourist destination.
“Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people. I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians,”she told Singersroom.com. Now being called madame ambassador the official celebration will not begin until August 5, 2011 in Bridgetown, Barbados with a full-length concert of her current “Loud” tour. I'm sure with Rihanna as the ambassador tour visits for the island are sure to increase.
