Über Talk: Usher Recognized By National Civil Rights Museum

Usher still goes recognized as such a unique individual for his musical finesse. Now, he is now being recognized for his works of philanthropy. The National Civil Rights Museum will honor the R&B singer on November 12 in Memphis, Tennessee. See why here.

Usher will be receiving the Philanthropy Freedom Award for the work done through his New Look Foundation.

The foundation has been described by USA Today as, “A foundation that certifies young people in four leadership categories—talent, eduation, career and service. Thr foundation has raised financial resources for Hurricane Katrina victims and issued a “call to action” for Haiti relief in 2010.”

Along with Usher, actress Cicely Tyson and former NBA player Bill Russell will also receive the Freedom Award this year. What a great honor to be recognized for uplifting communities. Be inspired to be that positive change for others!
