From West Philadelphia born and raised.. Will has decided to return to make some major moves in his hometown. Will Smith, along with wife Jada, has become the fourth major recording artist to own a professional sports team along with others such as Jay-Z, Nelly and Usher. Will and investment partner Joshua Harris have been approved by the NBA Board of Governors to own a percentage of the Philadephia 76ers.
Will’s partner Harris stated, “My partners and I are thrilled to have become owners of the Sixers. It is an honor to become part of this storied franchise. We have a lot of work to do, but we have a rich history, a strong foundation and a bright future.”
