Serena Williams turned the big 3-0! And while she is still a powerful presence on the tennis court, she makes sure her presence off the court is just as effective. She was recently appointed Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, and is joined by previous athletes like David Beckham and Kim Yuma.
UNICEF executive director, Anthony Lake said: “Serena Williams isn’t just a world tennis champion, she is a champion for children — and a passionate advocate for providing every child with a quality education… We are delighted that Serena is joining us as UNICEF’s newest Goodwill Ambassador and look forward to working together to win for children.”
Go ahead, Serena!
